Puppy Gets Returned For 11th Time To Shelter, Then Staff Realizes What’s Going On

Well behaved

To all appearances, Benji had arrived earlier that day. The man looked about for Benji’s owner, but he hadn’t seen any of the posters. When he couldn’t find Benji, he intended to phone the animal shelter because the collar he was wearing still had their number on it. Wow, that’s some lucky discovery.

He was taking Benji for a stroll around the home at the time, and he thought he was dealing with a well-behaved dog. But at that moment, his own cat came over to check what was happening and do some investigating. Stacy had a preconceived notion of what Benji was probably up to.

Called the shelter

For some reason, at that precise time, Benji changed his mind and began attacking the man’s cat. Benji was ready to harm the cat when the man intervened, grabbing the dog instead, allowing the cat to escape. The man wasted little time after the incident in reserving a spot for Benji in his cat cage.

In his mind, there was no other way to ensure his cat’s and Benji’s safety simultaneously. After that, he called the shelter to give them a full report. After he described the puppy to the shelter workers, they urged him to call Stacy so that she could come get him. Fortunately, Benji was unharmed throughout the incident.

Calling previous owners

When Stacy checked her phone, she discovered that she had not answered a number of calls from the homeless shelter. The option of keeping this information hidden no longer existed. She rescued a miserable Benji from the man and comforted him with apologies. She thought she had to fight her way inside the safe house.

Thereafter, she and Benji went back to the safe house. When Stacy arrived, she learned that the other workers had already called several of Benji’s prior owners to find out if they had any experiences with Benji that were similar to her own. The conversations’ outcomes were illuminating.
