8 Iconic Dresses That Shaped Pop Culture For Years To Come

5. Mirror, Mirror

Lily Collins got to play the role of Snow White in the movie Mirror, Mirror, and one of the requirements for the role is to wear a dress with a lot of volume, which she did. This stunning dress is as close as you can come to stepping into a fairy tale with its pink bodice, green sleeves, and enormous yellow skirt that is embroidered with floral designs. However, wearing it can be difficult because it is constructed from approximately 30 meters of fabric, has a corset, and a wireframe is sewn into the skirt so that it appears to have more volume. In addition to that, she was also dressed in a cape, which she put on top. It may have been a strenuous experience to wear it, but the end effect was absolutely worthwhile.

6. Beauty And The Beast

It’s likely that when you think of Belle from “Beauty and the Beast,” the first thing that comes to mind is either her blue apron dress or the iconic yellow dress from the animated movie. However, we won’t be focusing on either of those dresses because they’re way too predictable to be the focal point of our discussion. Even if both of those things look fantastic in the remake, the floral dress that Belle wears for the wedding is the one that we are going to discuss here. We were not prepared for such a bold and potentially dangerous move, but we adore it. The dress has a more contemporary aesthetic than the yellow one that we are accustomed to seeing, but the painted flowers and the flowery accents in the back bring back that fairy-tale allure.

7. Snow White And The Huntsman

Dresses from fairy tales have a way of sticking in people’s memories, but we believe that Snow White and the Huntsman’s costumes really take the cake. The unusual structural elements that were located around the shoulders of the dress that the Wicked Witch wore made it an especially memorable piece of clothing. The designer, Colleen Antwood, even admitted in the interview that the dresses worn by the Wicked Witch in this movie were the most challenging ones to make because they needed to be stunning and elegant, but they also needed to convey the character’s wicked nature and the transformation she goes through.

8. Ziegfeld Girl

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you owe it to yourself to take the time to do so. If it weren’t for the story, I’d watch it just to see how she wears that stunning dress. The stars who adore the dress and who transition effortlessly into accessories are absolutely breathtaking. Wearing a dress similar to this one will make you feel like the most important person in the room.
